W-3 plugging report
View wellMay 26, 2026
A W-3 is a major lifecycle document because it can indicate that a well has been plugged.
A W-3 plugging record is different from a plugging notice. The W-3 is associated with completed plugging documentation and can change how a well should be interpreted in the lifecycle: from active, permitted, or historical toward plugged.
Future Wells Texas treats W-3 documents and strong plugging indicators as plugged-well activity and updates the public well status when enough identifiers are available.
No recent matching activity is linked yet. This page still provides evergreen context for the document type.
